For over a large part of my adult life I believed that I am insignificant and nothing significant can come out of me or my work. My belief systems arose largely from some people around me, whose ideas of a woman, and the work I do, were very limited. Consequently, I had very little inner drive to be my natural self, map out and follow a path to a successful career. It became easier for me to follow an external stimulus to direct my education, job placement etc than use my conviction to move forward. However, over a period I ended up exhausted. My self-worth was low, I ran into a vicious cycle of negative thoughts and procrastination. It became challenging for me to bring myself to change for the better. Serendipitously, I chanced upon one of the videos Sumita had put up about hypnotherapy/rapid transformational therapy. Curious, I immediately contacted her with a request to help me identify my purpose in this life. I believed that if I knew my purpose I would then concentrate my efforts in that direction and lead my life efficiently.
I did an initial call with Sumita where she gathered what I seek from the therapy, saw if hypnotherapy could help with it and explained the process of hypnotherapy. At an appointed date, she took a 3-hour session online where we had detailed discussions. She took me into a meditative state, established a connection between my conscious and sub-conscious mind to identify the root cause of the beliefs I held. During the entire time I was in the meditative state, my conscious self was very well active and aware of the interaction we were having. My consciousness could allow or break the process if I had willed. I could allow Sumita to work with me - on me, because she understood my problem well, and has a keen sense of understanding problems in the way they should be. Her ability to put everything in the right perspective, even for me to understand, allowed me to trust her and her process. She took down pertinent notes from my session and developed an audio bite for me to listen to every day; either before I went to bed or immediately after I woke up from sleep. This audio reinforced positive thoughts on the aspects that I wanted to work on. The next couple weeks that I took to listening to this audio were incredibly mind altering.
I found that she has a particular knack to make keen observations on pertinent aspects that can sub-consciously bring the desired change. Her voice is exceptionally soothing, and it takes me into meditation as soon as I start listening to the audio. As I listened to it every day, many emotions surfaced through sub-conscious dreams that made me realize an inherent fear to do certain things. I took a few more sessions as and when I required them to identify reasons for my fear and move beyond. Through an emotional overhaul, my mind started to heal; I became more receptive to suggestions, more flexible to change. More practically, I started to work with ease on the work that I had procrastinated for long. This entire experience made me realize that the process of healing or re-wiring your brain is not linear and is not always easy to go through. However, with some clear results of my progress in many small and unquantifiable ways, I believe it’s better to heal from within than to treat symptoms. While I am still a work in progress, seeing myself improve makes me confident to find my purpose and do well.
Hypnotherapy can help bring positive changes from inside out, it may not always be an easy process, but with a right therapist by your side it’s the best way to heal and grow. And I feel that it is particularly effective if you desire the change from within. Sumita is an exceptional therapist, who can make your internal transition incredibly easy and fast. I am glad to have found her to work through my issues.
